Antique Week in Round Top/ Warrenton, Texas

I had the time of my life this weekend!! I got to go to Antique week in Round Top/Warrenton, Texas.  My mother came as my accomplice and we left Dallas Saturday at 5 am. We got to Warrenton around 10 am after a pit stop at a diner for breakfast. As we arrived closer to Antique week, the traffic got heavy as hundreds of cars were trying to park and find the perfect place to start shopping. My friend recommended parking behind the Warrenton gas station so we did just that.

We unpacked our cart, mini cooler, and stretched our legs with our eyes wide open looking at all the glorious shopping tents.  The sound of live music and fried food filled the air. After that the rest was a blur of shopping and walking...

Some of my purchases will be in later posts, so you'll have to stay tuned.

Love Fiestaware? I do, and they have several vendors that specialize in slightly damaged and new pieces.

Rows of junk.... If you like to repurpose or upcycle, Antique week is calling your name.

My mother's name is Rose so we got a kick out of this sign.

It's a bird... It's a plane... wait a minute what is a plane doing here?!

I love how they hung chandeliers from the trees.   This particular vendor specialized in antique lighting pieces.

 This potpourri booth smelled heavenly.

A trip to the Junk Gypsy's store

I had to take a picture of the plates they used as a border in their garden. I'm going to have to do something similar.

Tips from our roadtrip:

Antique week is only twice a year.  Once in April and again in October. I'd recommend going in the spring, the bluebonnets were blooming and the drive in was gorgeous.

Where we parked:
Warrenton gas station
4309 S Hwy 237
Warrenton, Texas 78961

Where we stayed (because we booked last minute):
Americas Best Value Inn Somerville, TX
18018 SH 36 South Somerville, TX, 77879 United States, 866-538-6252
This hotel was about 40 minutes from Roundtop but the drive with the bluebonnets blooming and country roads was amazing.  I would stay there again but I'd like to try to find a B&B for my next trip.

Visit the Junk Gypsys:

Junk Gypsy Company
1215 Texas 237, Round Top, TX 78954
I love this show and the store is defintely worth seeing.  It was a little over priced but they have some amazing and unique junk. I bought a shirt for my mom and I.

Make it Spicy,
